-
Barolo, Schiavenza, Piemonte, 2015
It opens to a broad and wide span of dark aromas that include dried blackberry, spice, tobacco and crushed stone. This is a textbook expression from Serralunga d'Alba. Breathe in that elaborate bouquet with a bowl of chickpea and pasta soup.
-
Barolo, Bovio, Piemonte, 2017
A fruity style, this shows cherry, plum, licorice, iron and tobacco flavors. Firm tannins provide a base of support, but overall this is elegant and expressive. Fine balance and length.
-

A wide swath of plum, cherry, tar, licorice and underbrush flavors is punctuated by bracing acidity and stiff tannins. Hangs together nicely in the end, suggesting this should develop well.

Blend of Grechetto, Procanico, Sauvigno. Wild mustard flowers and vanilla; maturity reveals stronger scents such as wild mint, sage, thyme and resins. Delightful as an aperitif accompanied by tomato and basil bruschetta, fresh pecorino cheese or mozzarella, at table we suggest serving it with asparagus risotto, fettuccini with butter and sage, gnocchi "alla romana", spaghetti in a tuna or tomato sauce, chicken or aubergines (eggplant) stuffed with mozzarella and tomato.
-

Fermented in French oak barriques and aged for 9 months in the same cask. A rich gold in colour, it has an elegant and complex nose and subtle woody flavours: white fruits, citrus, warm butter and hazelnut. -
Pinot Grigio “Sot Lis Rivis”, Ronco del Gelso, Friuli, 2019
It is an opulent wine that is aged in used oak barrels to give an aromatic structure that the grape variety itself does not possess. The harvest is postponed as long as possible to take advantage of a particular characteristic of Pinot Grigio grapes, which lose water and weight if left on the vine when ripe, concentrating the fruity notes.

-
Taurasi, Pietracupa, Campania, 2014
